well this is my personal childhood favorite
I always loved it when my mom made it for me
sitting in the kitchen looking at how she makes it
The aroma of the rice and the heat of the Tawa is a true magic
now let me take you into this wonderful dish
Akki roti a Karnataka special
with spice coconut pesto
Basically, Akki rotti is a north karnataka delicacy served for breakfast and lunch. rottis are usually high in fibre and carbs, and hence are very filling. akki rotti is a tasty breakfast prepared in every kannadiga’s house. this is the simple and easy recipe prepared with rice flour

Ingredients
1 cup rice flour / akki hittu
few coriander leaves finely chopped

1 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
fresh coconut
salt to taste
oil for roasting
hotwater as required
Instructions
firstly, in a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour,coriander leaves, gratted coconut and cumin seeds.
add hot water and make smooth and soft dough.
grease the tava with oil
now take a small ball of dough and start patting over oiled tawa
pat as thinly as possible. dip your hand in oil so that you can spread easily and avoid from having cracks.
make some holes between so that your rotti can absorb oil and cook fast.
furthermore, smear some oil over the rotti and cook on medium flame. flip over and cook both sides.
finally, serve the roti hot with spice coconut pesto

Coriander seeds
Cuman seeds
Black pepper
Fenugreek seeds
Black mustard
Instructions
take
Dry red chillies 20
Coriander seeds 2 tea spoon
Cuman seeds 1/4 tea spoon
Black pepper 15 teen pods
Fenugreek seeds one pinch
Black mustard one pinch
Dry roast them
Its Grinding time
Take a food processor
Add freshly cut coconut
One small raw onion
Addthe dry fried ingredients
Add water bit by bit
And boom it's ready
